Blue Lightning (Lynx)

Whoa, 1989... that's the same year that the Game Boy came out. Yeah, I'm not optimistic about this one.

Spider-Man X-Men: Arcade's Revenge (SNES)

AMAZING FIVE PART SNES SPIDER-MAN SPECIAL!

Part two:
Lots of TMs. That title screen is a bit of a step down from the last Spider-Man game, though to be fair it did come out a few years earlier.

Snoopy's Game Club (MS-DOS) - Guest Post

Real life superhero mecha-neko dives in front of another bad game to save us all.

Doggy fun and games.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series (SNES)

SPECTACULAR FIVE PART SNES SPIDER-MAN SPECIAL!

Part one:
Out of all the SNES games I've been playing, that's possibly the best title screen I've seen yet. Spider-Man swings around in the background, then drops down, and climbs back up to pose for the camera.

Hi-Octane (MS-DOS)

Oh wow, it's a Bullfrog game. That's probably a good sign. Probably.

Batman (ZX Spectrum)

It took five minutes to load this, so I hope you appreciate the incredible sacrifices I make.

I have no idea why Batman is carrying a shield though. We're supposed to be collecting pieces of the broken Batmobile, so I suppose it could be a hubcap.

Eternal Grace (PC) - Guest Post

RPG fan Ocean cunningly uses this opportunity to advertise his friend's game.

OK, now playing Eternal Grace! I know the people who made it so they asked me to play it. You can get the demo here, or support them by buying the full game! http://www.eternal-grace.com/

OK here we go! I wasn't sure what kind of game it was but I really don't tend to look up much about it before I play.

Johnny Bazookatone (MS-DOS)

This definitely seems like something I should have heard of. Well I vaguely remember the name, but I've got no idea what type of game it is or if it's supposed to be any good.

The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure (MS-DOS)

What the hell reason do they have to be so happy? I've never seen any of the Saturday Night Live sketches, but I don't remember them smiling much in the movie.

Tuff E Nuff (SNES)

I'm guessing either a side scrolling beat 'em up or a platformer about a woodland creature with attitude. In the forest.

Alien Trilogy (MS-DOS)

I think this one's a first person shooter. Or maybe I'm confusing it with Alien vs Predator on the Jaguar.

Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu (TurboGrafx-16)

Not to be confused with Jackie Chan's Inaction Kung Fu, where he just sits watching martial arts movies for the whole game.

This was actually one of my favourite platformers on the NES, so I'm curious to see if it's the same game.

Metal Rage (MS-DOS) - Guest Post

Wandering contributor mecha-neko stops by to show off a tank game he's found.

That does say 'Metal Rage'. You'll have to take my word for it.

Adventures of Lolo (NES)

Hey it's by HAL, the Kirby and Smash Bros developers. Maybe this one won't be so bad.

Valdis Story (PC) - Guest Post

Ocean returns with a look at another free rpg.

Valdis Story was something I was asked to play. As I was playing Indie RPGs, I figured why not? It's more a platformer than an RPG really but it does have levelling... I guess that's about it from what I got to play. You can download it here.

Very neat title screen I thought! Time to give it a whirl.

Kolibri (32X)

I think this one's called Kolibri. Or maybe it's Kplibys, it's hard to tell.

Tron 2.0 (PC) - Guest Post

Guest poster mecha-neko emerges from the digital world, bringing you this critical data stream.

Greetings, programs!

The Adventures of Bayou Billy (NES)

That's a little more interesting than the average NES title screen so far. I've got no idea what to expect from it though. Or what the different between Game A and Game B could be.

Xenophage: Alien BloodSport (MS-DOS)

This one is actually freeware now, you can grab it from this download page. If you feel that's something you really want to do.

Val d'Isère Championship (SNES)

Also known as Tommy Moe's Winter Extreme: Skiing & Snowboarding and Ski Paradise with Snowboard. I think it might be a skiing game.
